after crash leaves four in hospital The arrests relate to an incident where four people - two men and two women - were allegedly struck by a car following a reported fight at 12.34am

yesterday. Three of the people currently remain in hospital in a serious but stable condition, while the fourth person suffered minor injuries. Detective Inspector Jenny Tattersall said

yesterday that officers had been working to understand what happened during the early hours. She said: "We have been working tirelessly today to understand the sequence of events and

how the incidents of the early hours occurred. The cordon was in place for much of today to allow for thorough investigations to be carried out, including the attendance of forensic

officers. This has now been lifted." Police said from their enquiries, it is understood that the arrested men and the four alleged victims involved in the collision had all been in

attendance at a private event nearby prior to the incident. The detective inspector added that officers will remain in the area on foot patrol offering reassurance to the community. Anyone
