Anyone who fancies running a pub has plenty of options around Leicestershire at the moment. Everards brewery, which was founded in Leicester in 1849 and still owns many pubs around the city
and county, currently has five pubs that are in need of new business owners. They range from a community pub just off Leicester's outer ring road to a village pub right in the heart of
Rothley and another just outside Bradgate Park. All of the pubs below are currently available from Everards. To find out more about becoming a licensee, visit the Everards website, which
also has virtual tours and more pictures of the pubs featured below. READ MORE: ' PROPER GEM' LEICESTERSHIRE PUB NEAR BRADGATE PARK LAUNCHES SEARCH FOR NEW OWNERS THESE ARE THE
FIVE LEICESTERSHIRE PUBS EVERARDS CURRENTLY NEEDS NEW BUSINESS OWNERS FOR: THE BIRCH TREE AT BARDON HILL The Birch Tree is described as a "well-loved, well-run pub with a fantastic
reputation". Everards says: "The pub isn’t just about exciting social occasions. It’s got a solid reputation for quality food, pulling in customers from the surrounding areas who
come back time and time again for a wonderful meal in a relaxed and welcoming setting. "It also has all the ingredients to be able to put on a great show, with live music, comedy
nights, themed food evenings and fantastic facilities for private events. Inside, The Birch Tree is full of charm, with comfy armchairs, open fires, and plenty of cosy corners to settle
into. "It’s the kind of place where people love to linger over a pint or a Sunday roast. Outside is an award-winning and spacious garden perfect for alfresco dining and summer drinks.
There's also a large marquee used for weddings, craft markets and more." THE ROYAL OAK IN ROTHLEY The Royal Oak in Cross Green in the very centre of Rothley is a traditional pub
"in the heart of the community" and Everards describe it as a "popular spot for locals and those from the surrounding areas who enjoy catching up over a good pint in a lively
atmosphere". The advert says: "The pub is ready for a refresh. With investment planned to refresh the interior and exterior, the new business owners will have the chance to put
their own stamp on it and create something special that the village will be proud to call their local. "Inside, it features a spacious, open-plan L-shaped bar with a slightly raised
area at the rear – perfect for creating different zones. There’s also a small private function room, a fantastic asset for events, private parties, or community gatherings. Outside, you’ll
find an enclosed and covered patio courtyard to the side and a lovely garden out back." THE ABERDALE IN WEST KNIGHTON The Aberdale, on Shackerdale Road near to Leicester's outer
ring road is described as being "the heart of a vibrant Leicester community". The brewery says: "The Aberdale is a well-loved local with a strong reputation, a loyal customer
base, and huge potential for growth. "This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual or couple to take the reins, put their stamp on the business, and create a welcoming
space for locals and visitors alike. Whether you want to build on its existing success or introduce fresh ideas, The Aberdale is the perfect place to bring your vision to life!" They
describe the pub as an "established community hub with decades of history" and as having versatile space for events, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities. THE RED
ADMIRAL IN BROUGHTON ASTLEY A "cherished village pub," the Red Admiral in Station Road, Broughton Astley, is available for a new business owner. The current owners have been
running the pub for 20 years and Everards now need to find a new landlord to "continue its legacy". Everards say: "With its warm, welcoming atmosphere, classic charm, and
strong customer base, The Red Admiral is more than just a pub – it’s a true community hub. Established around 1840 as the Station Hotel, The Red Admiral is steeped in history and
charm." The pub offers "a warm and inviting atmosphere" with regulars enjoying activities including darts, skittles, and some live music events, too. There's also a big
beer garden that's "perfect for social gatherings and family-friendly activities". THE BRADGATE IN NEWTOWN LINFORD Last but not least, The Bradgate, in Main Street, Newtown
Linford, is "a charming country pub located on the doorstep of one of Leicestershire's most popular attractions, Bradgate Park". Everads say: "Set in the picturesque
village of Newtown Linford, it offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere where everyone is invited. "After nine successful years, business owner Gary is preparing to retire and pass the
reins of this well-established pub to a new owner. "Inside, the pub boasts a rustic ambience with exposed brick, wooden beams, and cosy fireplaces that enhance its traditional feel. The
interior elegantly combines stylish contemporary elements with a warm countryside vibe, creating a comfortable environment. "The Bradgate features a lovely outdoor patio seating area,
ideal for enjoying a pint or a meal on sunny days. Additionally, it has a large, tree-lined garden with picnic tables and children's play equipment, attracting families, dog walkers,
and groups."
