Forensics have continued to scour a city centre street following the Liverpool parade crash. Emergency services were called to Water Street in the city centre at around 6pm following reports
a car had hit pedestrians. It was confirmed that at least 47 people were injured as the vehicle hit the crowd, with 27 - including two children - taken for hospital treatment. Today
Liverpool City Region Mayor Steve Rotheram said four people remained "very, very ill" in hospital. Merseyside Police has confirmed the force is currently investigating the
circumstances that led to yesterday's horror incident. Assistant Chief Constable Jenny Sims said the force believed the man who has been arrested was the driver of the vehicle that hit
fans. The force also said investigations were underway to establish the circumstances of what happened leading up to the crash and urged people avoid speculation online. This afternoon,
forensics were spotted combing Water Street, gathering evidence and going in and out of the tents.
