a close, with Liverpool having secured a record-equalling 20th league title with plenty of time to spare. With the end of the league comes the results of the public vote for the


competition's player of the season - and you'd fancy a Red to come out on top. Fans of clubs across England were voting on the award up until midday yesterday, with a number of


stars on the shortlist. Liverpool were well represented as the title winners of this campaign, with Mohamed Salah enjoying one of his best seasons since signing for that club. Teammates Ryan


Gravenberch and Reds stalwart Virgil van Dijk are also on the list. Nottingham Forest duo Morgan Gibbs-White and Chris Wood are in the running too, having both had excellent seasons and


helping their team bounce back in style from relegation worries in the previous term. Brentford's right winger Bryan Mbeumo was on the shortlist, having helped the mid-table team with a


haul of 19 goals and 8 assists so far, and he could break 20 in the final match. The Bees man is rumoured to be leaving in the summer transfer window, with plenty of clubs watching on with


interest. Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice is up for the award too, having seen his team through to the Champions League semi-finals and secured second place for the Gunners in their challenge


to eventual winners Liverpool. Star Newcastle United man Alexander Isak rounds out the list, having been nominated for the second season running. Isak has scored 23 times and made 8 assists
