signing for Liverpool, Frimpong previously revealed that he had spoken to Van Dijk prior to completing the move. “Yeah, of course, I have had a few conversations with them,” he said. “Virgil

has called me and told me a little bit more about Liverpool and the expectations, those types of things. “And made me feel like the guys are going to welcome me well. That’s what I expect

from Virgil with how he is in the national team – he’s a big character, captain. They have told me good things.” Frimpong actually went viral the last time he greeted a Liverpool player at

the Netherlands camp, having been caught practicing his Scouse as he greeted Gravenberch by saying, ‘You all right, la?’ back in March. Reacting to the Reds fanbase’s response to such a

clip, Liverpool’s latest signing said: “I didn’t know it was going to go that viral! “For me, it was literally just, obviously Ryan plays for Liverpool and obviously Liverpool is Scouse, so
