Vanity scenes in the ITV soap as speculation around a potential reunion grows. Charity and Vanessa were a beloved couple in the Dales, but had a very on-again-off-again relationship. Vanessa

originally struggled to trust Charity as she was quite happy to flirt with other people, but they officially got together after she confronted Charity for her behaviour. The pair officially

broke up when Vanessa left the village to visit her mother but had to stay for longer to look after her. Tracy decided to send Vanessa a picture of Charity kissing someone else (Mackenzie

Boyd), leading her to believe that she was having an affair. Vanessa decided to end the relationship and stay at her mum's. When Vanessa eventually returned to Emmerdale, she was

shocked to meet Charity's boyfriend Mackenzie who fans will recognise as her now-husband. Since then, Charity and Mack are still loved up, meanwhile Vanessa is grieving the death of her

girlfriend Suzy Merton as well as learning that she was in love with Mary Goskirk at the time of her sudden departure. Article continues below Speaking to The Mirror at the British Soap

Awards 2025, actress Michelle reflected on Vanessa's recent scenes where Charity's granddaughter Sarah Sugden confided in her about wanting to do IVF. She shared: "I'm so

glad they tapped in on that Vanessa and Sarah relationship. It's lovely. Her mum's not around and she can't talk to Charity and Vanessa is her confidant which I absolutely

love." Referring to the future of "Vanity", Michelle continued: "So you are gonna see a lot more Vanessa and Charity scenes. "It might not be the ones you want but

they are [there]. We've been filming a lot more scenes together. Who knows, Vanessa is single, I have no idea what's going on. The rest is TBC" reported The Mirror.

Unfortunately for fans of the former couple, Michelle thinks there could be a major obstacle in the reunion, as she continued: "I can't say [yes] because Charity is happily married

and so Vanessa is so loyal. She is not a cheater as a person." As for filming with Emma Atkins again, she spilled: "It's so weird cos I've been filming a lot with Amy

Walsh and Zoe Henry, what I call my bubble at work, and then you go back to Jacob's Fold or The Woolpack, that crew. It's like oh my goodness, this was like 5, 6, 7 years ago, and
