THE UK GROUP CAME IN 19TH PLACE IN THIS YEAR'S ANNUAL SONG CONTEST 13:09, 20 May 2025 Rylan Clark has sent a message to Remember Monday after the UK girl group’s Eurovision

disappointment, calling them ‘absolute darlings’. It was a manic week in Basel, Switzerland, for Rylan, who was commentating on the two semi-finals with BBC Radio 2 presenter Scott Mills.

Despite Graham Norton returning for the final as he normally does, Rylan and Scott provided alternative commentary on the station where the latter hosts a breakfast show. The former X Factor

singing was one of Remember Monday’s biggest fans, with the trio looking to score the UK their first Eurovision win since 1997 with their song What The Hell Just Happened? Made up of Lauren

Byrne, 30, Holly-Anne Hull, 30, and Charlotte Steele, 29, Remember Monday received 88 points from the juries in the first half of the results. Sadly, they didn’t get any points from the

public, finishing in 19th place and failing to top Olly Alexander’s 18th place finish from last year. Days after a Eurovision that was won by Austrian singer JJ, Rylan took to his Instagram

story with a picture of the group along with some kind words. “Just want to say how proud I am of these ones @remembermonday_. The three of you and your team have been such a pleasure to

work with this year. “Thank you for being absolute darlings xxxx." On top of everything he had going on, Rylan played himself in the most recent episode of Doctor Who, which aired prior

to the Eurovision final. Hosting the Interstellar Space Contest, it was revealed in the episode that Rylan freezes himself and only emerges from his deep sleep when there’s a TV show to

present. Reflecting on the manic week in a separate Instagram post on Sunday (May 18), he said: “In a week I’ve won a BAFTA, been at Eurovision and hosted the Interstellar Song Contest in

Doctor Who. Had worse weeks.” Rylan’s BAFTA win, which was brought up at various points during the semi-finals, was awarded to him and Rob Rinder in the Comedy Entertainment category, for

their show Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour. The 36-year-old’s comments about Remember Monday arrive just days after Graham provided his followers with own take on what’s next for them. Article

thank you for stepping up and navigating the challenge of Eurovision, with grace, good humour and stage craft. Heads high towards a bright future,” he stated.
