ONLINE SHOPPING IS REALLY CONVENIENT, BUT IT DOES COME WITH ITS DOWNSIDES AS YOU SOMETIMES DON'T GET WHAT YOU ORDERED. ONE WOMAN HAD EXACTLY THAT ISSUE WHEN SHE ORDERED MAKE-UP FROM
JOHN LEWIS 16:05, 30 May 2025 Online shopping, with its unmatched convenience, has become a the go-to for people seeking speedy purchases. The option to browse through an endless array of
products from the comfort of home and have them delivered straight to our doorstep is indeed marvellous. Nevertheless, it comes with the occasional risk of receiving items that differ from
what was expected, prompting an unwanted trip to the post office for returns. A recent online shopping mishap left one customer, Charlotte, stunned after receiving something entirely
different from her John Lewis order. Charlotte was looking to replenish her makeup supplies and ordered a Giorgio Armani foundation but found herself unwrapping a pack of 20 bin liners
instead. Charlotte took to TikTok, playfully addressing the discrepancy: "@Armanibeauty @JohnLewis we need to talk...my luminous silk was a catfish," she posted. She
light-heartedly added: "God gives his toughest battles to the strongest soldiers." On the John Lewis website, the foundation she intended to purchase retails at £37.60, while the
bin bags carry a price tag of just £7. After the mix-up, Charlotte was advised to return the bin liners. She also shared an image of the response she received from John Lewis which read:
"Hi Charlotte, thank you for contacting John Lewis and Partners. I'm sorry that you received bin liners instead of the Armani foundation you ordered. It'd be my pleasure to
assist you." Reacting to the video, one viewer said: "I've been laughing at this for too long." Another added: "I'm in stitches,". John Lewis also
responded to the viral post, stating: "Oh, Charlotte. Sorry you've bin unlucky! Let us know if you need any further help." If your item is damaged, faulty, or you received the
wrong product, take photographs of the order and send it directly to the shop you ordered it for via live chat or email. Be sure to include details about the problem. John Lewis has been
approached for a comment. In other shopping news, one woman has shared why she never writes a description on Vinted. Plus, Iceland supermarkets are stocking 1p ice lollies as temperatures
are set to rise across the UK. Cyber experts are also urging shoppers to set up additional security measures across their online accounts alongside being wary about sharing details online.
This advice comes after a number of UK retailers including M&S and the Co-op announced being hit by cyber attacks over recent weeks. Article continues below _Do you have a shopper
