Docks.


Emergency services descended on the scene yesterday (May 28), a week to the day that Connor Hanson first went missing.


‌ The 22-year-old from Fulwood, Preston, was last seen on Merryburn Close between 3.30am and 4.30am on May 21.


‌ A major search operation took place at Preston Docks yesterday before Lancashire Police confirmed the tragic discovery.


Formal identification is yet to take place as of this morning (Thursday).


But police believe the body is Connor's, and his family are being supported by specially-trained officers, Lancs Live reports.


Article continues below The force said Connor’s death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be passed to the coroner.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said on social media: "Good morning everyone, we’ve got a really sad update about our search for Connor Hanson who had been reported missing from his


home in Fulwood last Wednesday.


‌ "Officers carrying out enquires in Preston Docks sadly found a man’s body in the water yesterday.


"Although formal identification is yet to take place, we believe it to be Connor.


"Connor’s family have been informed of the sad development and are being supported by specially trained officers.


‌ "Connor’s death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be passed to HM Coroner in due course. Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal."
