THE BEST PLAYER OF THE SEASON WILL BE REVEALED SOON THOMAS FAIR Community Editor 15:55, 20 May 2025 Another Premier League season is drawing to a close, with Manchester United vowing to do
better as a squad rebuild begins in earnest this summer. With the end of the league comes the results of the public vote for the competition's player of the season - with no United
representatives on the eight-man shortlist. Fans of clubs across England were voting on the award up until midday yesterday, with a number of stars on the shortlist. Liverpool were well
represented as the title winners of this campaign, with Mohamed Salah enjoying one of his best seasons since signing for that club. Teammates Ryan Gravenberch and Reds stalwart Virgil van
Dijk are also on the list. Nottingham Forest duo Morgan Gibbs-White and Chris Wood are in the running too, having both had excellent seasons and helping their team bounce back in style from
relegation worries in the previous term. Brentford's right winger Bryan Mbeumo was on the shortlist, having helped the mid-table team with a haul of 19 goals and 8 assists so far, and
he could break 20 in the final match. The Bees man is rumoured to be leaving in the summer transfer window, with plenty of clubs watching on with interest. Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice is
up for the award too, having seen his team through to the Champions League semi-finals and secured second place for the Gunners in their challenge to eventual winners Liverpool. Star
Newcastle United man Alexander Isak rounds out the list, having been nominated for the second season running. Isak has scored 23 times and made 8 assists in the league, only behind Mohamed
Salah as the Premier League's top scorer. Bruno Fernandes has swept up Manchester United's internal awards this year, but failed to make the league shortlist despite important
contributions. VOTE BELOW - WHO SHOULD BE THE PREMIER LEAGUE'S PLAYER OF THE SEASON? WOULD YOU HAVE ADDED ANOTHER NAME TO THE SHORTLIST? _Here at The Manchester Evening News, we are
