THE LATEST MAN UNITED NEWS AS FORMER ARSENAL YOUNGSTER CHIDO OBI CONTINUES TO IMPRESS AT OLD TRAFFORD. 20:00, 30 May 2025 Chido Obi put in an impressive display for Manchester United in
their post-season fixture against Hong Kong. The young striker scored twice as United claimed a 3-1 victory at the Hong Kong Stadium. Ayden Heaven was also on the score-sheet after Jorginho
put the hosts in front, as United made a second-half comeback with three goals. Obi was signed by United last season from Arsenal and has since flourished with the club's Under-18 side.
Ruben Amorim has also included the striker in the first-team squad on several occasions, this season, with the teenager making eight appearances - including seven in the Premier League. The
goals in Hong Kong are Obi's first for United, in their first-team. The striker will hope to kick on next term and get more minutes in the senior squad, as well as target goals in the
Premier League when the new campaign rolls around. Obi currently wears the No.56 shirt for United, which is the same number which was handed to him when he first arrived at Old Trafford and
featured for the first-team. This summer could be the time that United put their faith in the striker and give him a new number for the upcoming season. Several numbers are set to be
available to new signings this summer - as well as for current members of the squad who are deserving of an upgrade. If United do decide to give Obi a new number there are several options
available. The No.19 is currently vacant at United, having previously been worn by Raphael Varane until his departure in the summer of 2024. No.14 is also set to be available once Christian
Eriksen leaves as a free agent. No.10 is currently worn by Marcus Rashford, No.12 by Tyrell Malacia and No.21 by Antony, with all three men facing uncertain futures going into the summer.
United also have every number from 27 up to 36 available, to either new signings or for in-house upgrades. GET UNITED TRANSFER NEWS AND UPDATES ON WHATSAPP! Our team of Manchester United
