MANCHESTER UNITED TAKE ON TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR IN THE EUROPA LEAGUE FINAL WITH THE WINNER QUALIFYING FOR THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE MATTY HEWITT 13:30, 20 May 2025 Ex-Manchester United defender Gary
Neville believes his former side will win the Europa League final on Wednesday night. Ruben Amorim's side take on Tottenham Hotspur at the San Mames Stadium in Bilbao, with the winner
also qualifying for the Champions League next season. The lure of a return to Europe's elite competition will likely mean more to both clubs from a financial perspective, rather than
the silverware up for grabs given how dismal their domestic campaigns have been. United will record their worst finish in the Premier League having taken just 39 points from 37 games
currently occupying 16th place, while Spurs sit one place below them having taken 38 points from the same amount of games. Both managers are under an extreme amount of pressure to deliver a
trophy, with some reports suggesting even Europa League triumph will not save Ange Postecoglou's job. United are currently unbeaten in this season's competition and saw off
Athletic Bilbao in the semi-final stages of the competition, while Spurs came through their semi-final clash with Bodo/Glimt with very little concern. Some outsiders have been unable to
split the two teams heading into the showpiece finale, but Neville believes his former club will come out triumphant, citing two players who need the win 'in their lives.' On Sky
Sports Monday Night Football, Neville said: “I think United will win, just for the reasons Jamie [Carragher] said, there’s some players in there - Bruno [Fernandes] and Casemiro - who will
feel that occasion and want it, need it in their lives. "I agree with the belief. I know history is something that gets pointed towards although at the Carabao Cup final earlier this
season I thought Liverpool would absolutely lift that trophy and Van Dijk would be up on that podium, and they weren’t. "There’s got to be a guard against that. I do feel confident in
United just getting through this game on Wednesday.” --- _Here at The Manchester Evening News, we are dedicated to bringing you the best Manchester United coverage and analysis._ _Make sure
