ONLY ONE COACH FROM ERIK TEN HAG'S SET-UP IS NOW LEFT AT MAN UNITED FOLLOWING THE LATEST DUGOUT DEPARTURE. 17:00, 30 May 2025 Andreas Georgson has left Manchester United after ten
months as a first team coach. Georgson joined United as their set piece coach in July and was retained by Ruben Amorim following the dismissal of Erik ten Hag in October. Amorim discarded
assistant coaches Ruud van Nistelrooy and Rene Hake, as well as goalkeeping coach Jelle ten Rouwelaar, but kept Georgson and Darren Fletcher. Georgson was not present during the post-season
tour of Malaysia and Hong Kong following talks with Amorim and technical director Jason Wilcox. Sources say Georgson acknowledged there was less space in the new set-up for the role he was
originally brought in for. Amorim has put his assistant, Carlos Fernandes, in charge of set pieces. Georgson was recommended by Wilcox, who oversaw his appointment as Southampton set-piece
coach in August 2023. Georgson left after four months to take over as manager of Lillestrom. Georgson said: “It has been a fantastic experience serving as first team coach at Manchester
United and I will always be proud of my association with such a great football club. "This period of my career has now come to an end as I leave to find a new challenge elsewhere. While
excited about the opportunities ahead, I am sad to be leaving so many great colleagues and friends at Carrington, who make Manchester United truly special. "Even during such a tough
season, the professionalism and dedication of the players and staff never wavered and I know there will be better times ahead. "I want to thank Jason, Ruben and Erik for the
opportunities they gave me, and wish everyone at the club the best of luck for the future.” Wilcox added: "Andreas has been a valued member of our men’s first team coaching set-up over
the past year and we are grateful for his significant contribution. He leaves with our thanks and best wishes for the next stage of his career." --- _Here at The Manchester Evening
