RUBEN AMORIM AND ANGE POSTECOGLOU WILL STICK TO THEIR TACTICAL GUNS IN THE EUROPA LEAGUE FINAL, ACCORDING TO FORMER PREMIER LEAGUE STRIKER WHO IS ROOTING FOR HIS FORMER CLUB 12:38, 21 May
2025Updated 13:16, 21 May 2025 Ruben Amorim and Ange Postecoglou have been branded stubborn ahead of the Europa League final. Manchester United and Spurs are looking to salvage a trophy from
desperately poor seasons, which sees them both languishing just above the Premier League relegation zone. In most other campaigns, both clubs would have faced fights to avoid dropping into
the Championship. While Amorim is expected to stay on as United boss regardless of Wednesday’s outcome in Bilbao, it could be Postecoglou’s final game in charge of Spurs, even if they end
their 17-year wait for silverware. Both managers have been criticised this season for their alleged unwillingness to shift from their preferred approach amid their abject domestic form.
Former Spurs striker Robbie Keane expects both men to stick to their guns in Bilbao. He told Betway: “They didn’t expect to be in the situation, and neither did Manchester United. There’s no
chance that either side should be in their current positions with the squads that they have. “I don’t think either manager will change their philosophy for this game. They both seem to be a
bit stubborn about the way they play, and they stick to that. That’s their way. I think Spurs’ team looks stronger on.” Keane, currently the head coach of Hungarian side Ferencváros, will
naturally be rooting for the club he played for over two spells in the 2000s and early 2010s. The Irishman, 44, said: “It’s a big week for Tottenham. “I’d love to see them lift the cup at
the end of a very disappointing season and I’m sure the Spurs fans would be happy with a European trophy after such a such a long time without winning one, but you still can’t get away from
the poor season that they’ve had.” Meanwhile, United skipper Bruno Fernandes, who was part of the team that lost to Villarreal in the 2021 final, is dreaming of lifting the trophy aloft,
even if it wouldn’t fully make up for the season as a whole. He said: “It won’t change the past, it won’t affect what the past has done to us either. But what it can affect is the future.

players wanting to come to the club. “I think that at this club it doesn’t change much in that aspect because I think every player wants to play for Man United and it’s a thing that will
never change because the name of this club speaks for itself. But the main thing for us is to focus on what we have ahead of us and that is a massive final.” GET UNITED TRANSFER NEWS AND
