MANCHESTER UNITED ARE EXPECTING A BIG SUMMER OF CHANGE AS THEY LOOK TO IMPROVE ON A WOEFUL CAMPAIGN IN 2024/25 17:30, 29 May 2025 Outgoing Manchester United midfielder Christian

Eriksen's agent has admitted that a return to Denmark is unlikely for his client at this stage. Eriksen signed on a free contract in 2022 after making his return to football with

Brentford. In three years, he managed to make 107 appearances for the club, bagging eight goals and 18 assists during that time. The Dane was never a first-team regular for United and this

was clear during the most recent campaign as he made just 23 appearances in the Premier League. However, the former Tottenham Hotspur man did manage to end his time at Old Trafford on a high

last weekend. He was given the ball for the penalty in his last appearance for the club which he dispatched in front of the Stretford End to seal a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa. After the

game, he confirmed his exit to TNT Sports. "Yes, that is correct," Eriksen said when asked if he was leaving. "I think that is also why Bruno [Fernandes] gave me a penalty as

a nice farewell. "I think we did it today for the fans. It has been a tough season, but I am going to wish them all the best. "It is an incredible stadium, an incredible club and I

have no doubt I will be back at some point. It has been an exciting few years being in this stadium and playing for this club. "I have enjoyed it and I take a lot of good memories with

me." Attention has now turned to where Eriksen could be playing football next season. Moves to La Liga, the Saudi Pro League, MLS and even a return to Denmark have all been rumoured in

recent weeks but his agent Martin Schoots has told Danish media outlet BT that one of those scenarios has been ruled out for now. "Christian is still ambitious and has a lot to give to

a bigger league," his agent explained. "I can easily see him playing in his home country in the future, but I think for now it will only be for the national team." As a free

agent, Eriksen is available to sign for a new club outside of the transfer window if he wishes. --- _Here at The Manchester Evening News, we are dedicated to bringing you the best Manchester
