Manchester United know that significant funds will have to be generated through player sales this summer. Ahead of a campaign with no European football and with PSR (Profit and
Sustainability) concerns, the Reds will need to sell to buy. Academy products are the most likely route to a PSR boost with their homegrown status allowing United to earn pure profit on any
sale. It's a significant reason behind why they sold Scott McTominay to Napoli last summer despite many at Old Trafford wanting the Scot to stay. Marcus Rashford looks set to be the
next most likely academy graduate to leave M16 after his loan spell at Aston Villa in the second half of 2024/25. The Villans have the option to sign Rashford for £40million; however, it
remains unclear whether they will exercise this option and whether he wants to join Villa on a permanent deal. One significant summer sale could come in the next few weeks, with Saudi Pro
League side Al-Hilal looking to sign Reds captain Bruno Fernandes for £100m before the Club World Cup. _The Manchester Evening News_ understands that Fernandes is seriously considering the
offer, but United boss Ruben Amorim shared his belief that the Portuguese star will stay. Jadon Sancho's sale, after a season on loan at Chelsea, would also raise significant funds for
the Reds. Due to the Blues' Premier League position being higher than 14th, Chelsea are now obliged to purchase the forward for £25m. While the West London club could opt of the deal by
paying a £5m penalty fee, _Sky Sports_ report that the Blues are in talks with Sancho's representatives about new contract terms. One other loanee in Antony could raise another tidy
sum for the Reds. Having enjoyed a hugely impressive spell at Real Betis, United would be looking for £32.5m to sell the winger this summer. Attack is a key area Amorim wants to strengthen
as he seeks a new striker and a versatile forward to fit into his 3-4-3 system. Matheus Cunha looks set to become United's first summer signing in 2025, with the Reds set to pay his
£62.5m release clause in instalments. After missing out on Ipswich Town's Liam Delap, the Reds may turn to Viktor Gyokeres, a player Amorim knows well from their time at Sporting.
Whether the Swede would be open to joining without Champions League football remains to be seen. The question will also be whether United can afford the €80m (£67m) Sporting reportedly want.
Even with player sales, signing Cunha and Gyokeres this summer is likely to swallow up a huge chunk of their budget. And yet both players are likely to make a significant impact on
Amorim's goal-shy side. The Reds are in desperate need of attacking reinforcements and that only raises the need to sell some of their unwanted stars before a huge 2025/26 campaign.
While Fernandes staying would certainly be the dream scenario for United given his impressive campaign, should the above players be sold to allow the club to bring in Gyokeres, the
club's dream front three next season could end up being Cunha, Gyokeres, Fernandes. GET UNITED TRANSFER NEWS AND UPDATES ON WHATSAPP! Our team of Manchester United experts are on top of
