HERE'S WHEN YOU CAN TAKE PART AND CELEBRATE 07:01, 24 Feb 2025Updated 15:57, 12 Mar 2025 Here across Greater Manchester, we like to celebrate Pride and the LGBTQ+ community in a number
of ways - whether it's through partying, protests, or sometimes even a bit of both. Alongside the return of Manchester Pride this August, we are lucky enough to have lots and lots of
different Pride celebrations - both big and small - taking place across the city-borough throughout the year. This means that even if you can't attend one event, there are surely others
you might be able to find time for. This year, the first officially confirmed date for a Pride event here will be in May with the return of Pride in Trafford, which will take place in Sale
and Altrincham. But we usually will also have events taking place all the way through to September, with the likes of Rochdale, Salford, Oldham and Bolton all getting involved. Whilst not
all Pride events have officially revealed their dates, themes or line-ups yet, it's always nice to have an idea of when things are especially if you'll be heading to other big
events outside of Greater Manchester, like Mighty Hoopla on May 31 and June 1, Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde Pride on 6-8 June and Brighton Pride on August 2 and 3. We've rounded up what we
know so far about the Pride and LGBTQ+ events taking place across Greater Manchester in 2025 and what else you can expect to be announced in the near future. We'll update this as and
when more information is revealed, so keep an eye on it! Article continues below PRIDE IN TRAFFORD MAY 13 TO 18, 2025 As in previous years, there is a lot going on when it comes to this
year’s Pride in Trafford celebrations - including parody musicals, theatre shows, cabarets, networking sessions, workshops and outdoor performances across a range of free and ticketed shows.
Alongside taking over spaces in Sale, this year’s event will also include events in Altrincham for the first time as part of their ‘most exciting and inclusive year yet’. Highlights include
The Wheel of Nouns interactive cabaret (Waterside, May 14), A Northern Tr*nny Hootenanny from Hunter King (Waterside, throughout the festival) and A [Cupboard] Full of Tomboys from Jay
Farley (Altrincham Town Hall, May 16). There’s also a Drag and Draw workshop featuring a DJ soundtrack (Altrincham Town Hall, May 18) and I Was Dancing in the Lesbian Bar from musician
turned stand-up comedian Holly Redford-Jones (Waterside, May 16 and 17). “Pride in Trafford is proudly committed to championing LGBTQ+ arts as a powerful vehicle for expression,
representation, and social change,” Darren Adams, producer for Pride in Trafford and also the Manager of Waterside, said. “We are honoured to provide a platform for artists and creatives to
share their lived experiences and stories, fostering an inclusive community that welcomes everybody. The 2025 festival is an exciting time as we grow and develop our offer.” Full line-up and
ticket details can be found here. PRIDE ON THE RANGE MAY 24 AND 25, 2025 We’re also waiting on details for Whalley Range’s Pride event - which was also held at the end of May last year.
STOCKPORT PRIDE JUNE 1, 2025 Stockport Pride will once again take over the historic Market Place for a day at the start of June. The full details for this year’s event are still to be

Pride events is Salford Pride’s Pink Picnic takeover party at Peel Park. Featuring top-notch performers, local acts, dog shows and a whole flurry of stalls and food and drink, there’s always
plenty on offer and a great vibe to boot. Whilst this year’s line-up has not been unveiled, the event has seen the likes of Nadine Coyle, Heather Small, and Big Brovaz take to the stage.
Now in its 14th year, tickets for the 2025 event will start from £5 - with under 16's going free. There are also additional VIP ticket packages available should you want to splash out.
There are some new entry restrictions set to be in place this year, which you can find out about here. Tickets can be bought here. ROCHDALE IN RAINBOWS JUNE 22, 2025 Last year marked the
first ever Rochdale in Rainbows parade event - and it was a big hit. The Pride celebration itself has been running since 2019 so the Despite having taken place since 2019, last year's
Rochdale in Rainbows was a historic one in the sense it featured its first ever Pride parade. And people will be pleased to know that the parade is making a big return again this year. Just
like last year, it'll take place around Rochdale Town Hall. This year, the rest of celebrations will continue in the Great Hall in the Town Hall, which will mark a bigger venue than the
one used last year. The parade is expected to start at 12.30pm, with stalls and the rest of entertainment set to carry on afterwards. More details upcoming. OLDHAM PRIDE JULY 26, 2025 Last
year, Oldham Pride turned 20 and it’s expected that the big celebrations will only continue this year. The event was held in July in 2024, but we’re awaiting a big reveal of info for the
2025 event soon. SPARKLE WEEKEND JUNE 27 TO 29, 2025 Sparkle 2025 will mark the 20th anniversary of the event - which is regarded as one of the biggest celebrations of gender diversity in
the country. Set to take place in Sackville Park once again, the event is run by the national transgender charity Sparkle and will feature family-friendly events, live entertainment, youth
activities, market stalls and talks. The event is free to attend but donations to keep Sparkle going throughout the year are always welcomed. More details will be shared here. PRESTWICH
PRIDE AUGUST 8 TO 10, 2025 Returning for three days of fun, the organisers of Prestwich Pride have promised the 2025 event will be their ‘biggest and most vibrant’ one to date. There will be
events for people of all ages and tastes, whether they are wanting all-out late-night celebrations, family-friendly fun or moments of reflection. Whilst the line-up is yet to be unveiled,
previous events have featured RuPaul’s Drag Race UK stars like Cheddar Gorgeous and Banksie as well as top DJs Gina Breeze and Will Tramp. “This year, we’re taking everything people loved
about 2024 and making it even bigger, brighter, and more inclusive,” said Matthew Cooper, Director and Communications Lead. “Prestwich Pride is about bringing people together, celebrating
diversity, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome. We can’t wait to see the community come together once again for an unforgettable weekend—while raising vital funds along the
way.” Keep up to date with details via Instagram. LEVENSHULME PRIDE AUGUST 8 TO 10, 2025 Levenshulme Pride usually takes place in August, with a host of free events. Alongside stalls from

this year’s event details are confirmed, we’ll get them included here. WIGAN PRIDE AUGUST 16, 2025 We’ll update this when we have more details to share on Wigan Pride 2025. MANCHESTER PRIDE

the likes of Jessie J, Rita Ora and the Sugababes, so we’re all excited to find out who will be performing this year - but we’ll just have to hold out for a little bit longer. It has
recently been confirmed that there will be some big changes in store for the 2025 event, including a new event space. Alongside the party, there are a host of other special events taking
place across the city centre over the Pride weekend, including Family Pride, Superbia festival and the annual parade featuring hundreds upon hundreds of floats and revellers. DIDSBURY PRIDE
