With Super Bowl Sunday just around the corner, Tostitios has launched a new bag of chips that doubles as a breathalyzer. In collaboration with creative agency Goodby Silverstein &
Partners, the limited-edition Tostitos “Party Safe” bag is equipped with a sensor connected to a microcontroller calibrated to detect small traces of alcohol on a person’s breath. If you’re
sober, LEDs on the bag will turn green and you’re free to continue on enjoying the big game. However, if you’ve had a bit too much to drink, the lights will turn red, display a “don’t drink
and drive” message, and even offer a $10 Uber credit to ensure you make it home safely. The bag also uses NFC technology, enabling you to simply summon a ride with a tap of your phone. [h/t
