Unmair, I am Canadian and I am nice, but not too nice. Pierre Eliot Trudeau’s son, Justin, put everything on the line and won. The Emergencies Act was updated with the power to freeze bank
accounts, suspend truckers’ insurance. The bullies were scared and ran. Canadians know what a bully is and we don’t suffer them silently. The three main organizers of this venomous
occupation of our capitol city have been jailed. Two of them have not convinced the judge that they will follow the law, so no bail. These losers are in jail and will be held until their
trials. Don’t underestimate Canada’s legal system. I appreciate your concern. I too have looked at our bad boy cousin to the south with increasing concern. Even before the pandemic, I had
stopped travelling to the States. It’s just a few hours to get there but it had turned into an unsafe place. A fellow Winnipeger moved his family to a community in Connecticut. His seven
year old daughter was a victim of a mass shooting at an elementary school. I saw this gifted jazz musician perform on stage and two years later, his family was shattered. We may have shared
the longest unarmed border but I feel that will change. We are on alert.
