HATSUNE MIKU AND GODZILLA ARE PREPARING TO ARRIVE IN FORTNITE, AND THE NEXT UPDATE FOR THE GAME WILL BE LAYING OUT THE RED CARPET FOR THE POP CULTURE SUPERSTARS. 17:00, 08 Jan 2025 It's
almost time for the next Fortnite update, and according to leakers and the Fortnite community Trello board, there's a lot to be ready for. Fortnite has been laying out heaps of Item
Shop updates for players, offering them the return of the Dragon Ball Z Nimbus Cloud Glider, the appearance of the budget-friendly Doughberman cosmetic bundle and the Dance Floor Item Shop
takeover – but we want more content as well as cosmetics to keep us going. Luckily, it seems that the first major drop of content of 2025 is incoming quickly. The next Fortnite update is set
to lay out the red carpet for two thematically opposed special guests; Hatsune Miku, who is expected to be the game’s next Fortnite Festival headliner; and Godzilla, as both the game’s
secret skin and an on-map boss for players to take down. Epic Games is about to deliver on content that has been teased and leaked for months, and players are starting to get incredibly
excited – but we’re going to have to get the next Fortnite update before we can tuck in.. So, when can we expect it? Here’s when to prepare for the next Fortnite update. READ MORE: Xbox Game

Overwatch formula WHEN IS THE NEXT FORTNITE UPDATE? The next Fortnite update (v33.20) is set for release on TUESDAY, JANUARY 14 at 12PM GMT / 7AM EST / 4AM PST. This date has been confirmed
by reliable leakers like @ShiinaBR. The time is based on the usual Fortnite updates, with downtime typically starting at 9AM GMT / 4AM EST / 1AM PST and lasting for around four hours. So
it's possible that servers might be back up at 1pm GMT / 8am EST / 5am PST latest but we'll keep you posted as soon as there's official confirmation. We can expect downtime
for the update to begin at this time, and last between three and four hours. With this in mind, we can expect to be playing the update around 4PM GMT / 11AM EST / 8AM PST on the same day.
NEXT FORTNITE UPDATE – Fortnite leaks have revealed the major incoming crossovers that we’ve expected for the game, as well as some bonus appearances that we weren’t expecting. Here’s
everything expected in the next Fortnite update, as revealed by leakers @Llamalaxy and @SamLeakss: * HATSUNE MIKU – Fortnite Festival content, as well as a likely Battle Royale appearance as
an NPC * GODZILLA – secret skin drop, as well as the arrival of Monarch medallions, supply drops, and the arrival of Kong in some capacity (and, according to @ShiinaBR, Mechagodzilla too,
potential as part of a new Event Pass) * NEW STORY QUESTS – featuring helping the Night Rose boss free from the control of her marionette demon * KAPPA KAPPA PICKLE FARM – possibly expanding
* MAP UPDATE – altar and forge will be added to Warrior’s Watch, snow will start to melt * NEW SKINS * MORE VEHICLE CUSTOMISATION OPTIONS NEXT FORTNITE UPDATE – Epic isn’t particularly
quick to deliver patch notes on the game, and we can expect the same to be the case of the next Fortnite update v33.20. However, the developer does offer players an insight into the incoming
changes via its community Trello board, which reveals a number of bugs and issues set for resolution in the next Fortnite update. Here’s everything marked with the “Fixed in Next Game
Update” tag on the Fortnite community Trello board: BATTLE ROYALE / RELOAD / OG * DAIGO ISSUING INCORRECT DUEL REWARDS – After being defeated in a Duel, Daigo offers a Common Holo Twister
Assault Rifle or some wood. * PLAYERS MAY GET STUCK IN ‘TOGGE WALK’ MODE AT TIMES – sometimes, players may see their character stuck in the ‘Toggle Walk’ mode while trying to run or swim at
an intended pace. Sprinting is not affected. As a temporary workaround, please try unbinding the ‘Force Walk (Toggle)’ and ‘Force Walk (Hold)’ buttons. * RANKED QUESTS SOMETIMES DO NOT
PROGRESS IN RANKED RELOAD – Ranked Quests sometimes do not progress in Ranked Reload. This is fixed in the next game update. FORTNITE BALLISTIC * PLAYERS WHO JOIN AFTER THE BUY PHASE MAY NOT
OBTAIN A FLEX GADGET – If the player leaves while on the ‘Waiting for Players’ screen and joins in the middle of the match, they may not be able to get a Flex Gadget. Temporary Workaround:
If the player selects a Flex Gadget during the Buy Phase and leaves, they’ll still receive a Flex Gadget upon rejoining. LEGO FORTNITE * INCONSISTENT POP-UP WARNING WHEN ACTIVATING THE ITEM
SPAWNER AND FREE CRAFTING SETTINGS – The warning in the pop-up window to apply the changes when activating the Item Spawner and/or Free Crafting settings may be absent. These two settings
have been disabled temporarily while we work on a fix. Important: Please be advised that enabling these settings will cause Quests to become permanently disabled in that World. * UNABLE TO
PLACE DECOR OR FURNITURE ITEMS IN HOUSES OR LOTS (BRICKLIFE) – When the player selects a piece of Decor or Furniture and clicks on ‘Place’, the Build Menu might not pop up. Temporary
Workaround: Rejoining the session should solve this. * LEGENDARY FORGE IS NOT UNLOCKING (ODYSSEY) – We are aware of the issue where the Legendary Forge recipe is not unlocking for some
players. We are actively investigating and will provide an update as soon as we have one. Temporary Workaround: If you do not see the Legendary Forge, try dropping an Epic rarity item from
your weapon inventory and picking it back up. ROCKET RACING * CAN’T SCROLL THROUGH AND VIEW OTHER VEHICLES BEFORE RACE START – Players (both keyboard and controller) are not able to scroll
through and view other Vehicles during the countdown before race start. Article continues below FORTNITE FESTIVAL * PLAYER 2, 3 OR 4 UNABLE TO TAKE CONTROL AS PLAYER 1 – When players try to
take control in the Lobby by holding the ‘Take Control’ button, the screen may turn fully black, and the button may not respond. This will cause the inability to change any Settings or
Locker items. Temporary Workaround: To exit the black screen state, hold Start as Player 1 to regain control. * JAM TRACK PREVIEW CONTINUES TO PLAY OUTSIDE THE MUSIC LIBRARY – While in
Backstag, players who delect a Jam Track and then quickly close the Music Library may hear the preview load in late and continue playing. Temporary Workaround: Open the Music Library, wait
for a preview to load, then close it. * SOME PLAYERS MAY BE STUCK ON THE ‘CHOOSE A SONG’ HUD AND ARE UNABLE TO READY UP – A portion of Mobile players may not see the correct HUD and ready up
while in Backstage, i.e. the ‘Choose a Song’ HUD will appear instead. It’s a lot of fixes to expect to arrive in-game, but it’s worth noting that some of these “Fixed in Next Update”
problems also appeared on the Trello board ahead of update 33.11 before the Winterfest 2024 event, so there’s a chance that some of these issues could fall through the cracks in an example
of pretty poor form from the game’s Quality Assurance team. Here’s hoping each of the issues makes it through into the next Fortnite update, because the game could do with patching up.
