"The kickstand is much wider than the flimsy stand of old, and easily on par with the OLED version, with the ability to move it from top to bottom and back again.

"The console is around 10.7-inches long with the JoyCons attached, and feels a lot bigger compared to the Switch OLED, despite only having just over an inch on its predecessor.

It's not as wide as the Steam Deck OLED, but much more svelte, although I think I prefer the slightly bulkier Steam handheld."

Keen gamers queued up at midnight to get their hands on Nintendo's newest Switch 2 console. Currys were one of the first to open their doors to pre-order shoppers.

Four hours after the first retailer launched Nintendo has gone out of stock. Here are the four best UK retailers to buy the console. Our reporter Phoebe Barton has scoured online sites for

the deals:

"After initially showing as out of stock on the Nintendo website, supply has come back to meet demand. Here are five retailers offering the newest console.

"First up is Amazon, with the online giant selling the Nintendo Switch 2 for £395.99. Gamers wanting to also purchase Mario Kart World will be pleased to see Amazon is also offering the

console with the game in a bundle costing £429.99. Very is another retailer selling the Nintendo Switch 2 for £395.99 and the Mario Kart World bundle for £429.99. Gamers who would prefer to

pay for the console monthly can do so at Currys. The retailer is offering the Nintendo Switch 2"

For some gamers, price isn't the only factor to consider, as many will want to get their hands on it as soon as possible. So, what are the delivery times looking like for those who order

today?

At Currys, the retailer does have an option for 'next day delivery' however, it seems to be generic with its 'items over £40 get it for free' and it doesn't confirm the wait time on the

console. Amazon does, though, as it confirmed below:

The retailer's stock is 'selling' fast, according to it's online site. We've been refreshing the page all morning and finally the consoles are available to add into baskets.

Prices are the same for the console at £359.99 but there is a way for shoppers to split the cost. The Mario Kart bundle can be bought for £22 per month on a 24-month plan. While this works

out slightly more overall shoppers would only have to pay an upfront fee of £20 today. You can shop the deal here.

For those who already have a console but want a new game to go alongside it, Hogwarts Legacy is currently £39.99 on Currys.

But by using the code HOGWARTS10, you can get it for £35.99.

Probably one of the cheapest games around on the Switch 2 at the moment so worth a look.

They're all coming out the woodwork now. Currys has launched the console to order right here - and the Mario Kart bundle is right here.

You can buy the Switch 2 bundle with Mario Kart here - and the console on itself right here.

"The console is around 10.7-inches long with the JoyCons attached, and feels a lot bigger compared to the Switch OLED, despite only having just over an inch on its predecessor.
