A horrific crash at a race on an airport runway has left at least 17 people in the crowd with injuries.

A shocking video, taken by a spectator, caught the moment one of the racing cars lost control and crashed into a crowd of fans. A green BMW at the front of the grid set off at the same time

as another racing vehicle but it started to swerve just seconds later. The horrific accident happened during a quarter mile race at Krosno Airport in Poland.

The vehicle then shifted to the right and ploughed into part of a large crowd of standing people, with no barrier between them and the track. The vehicle appeared to drive straight into the

spectators as people gasped and looked on in shock.

The driver is believed to be a 27-year-old and no fatalities have been reported so far. An officer from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Krosno said: "It was initially established that

the 27-year-old driver of the vehicle taking part in the competition lost control of the vehicle and drove into a group of fans."
