JOSE MOURINHO WANTS TO SEE INTER MILAN LAND THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE - BUT ONLY BECAUSE THE TREBLE ISN'T ON OFFER AFTER THEY FELL SHORT IN SERIE A AND THE COPPA ITALIA 01:00, 30 May 2025
Jose Mourinho revealed he's GLAD former side Inter Milan aren't on course to emulate his achievement and win the treble in this weekend's Champions League final. The Special
One claimed: "The treble is mine!" The Fenerbahce boss has twice claimed the European Cup, most recently with Inter in 2010. They downed Bayern Munich in the Bernabeu to complete
an unprecedented treble and remain the only Italian side in history to achieve the feat. Mourinho joked he's happy that record remains in tact with Inter losing in the Coppa Italia
semi-finals to AC Milan whilst they missed out on the Serie A title as Napoli edged them out on the final day. Highly-rated boss Simone Inzaghi can still land Europe's biggest prize
this weekend however. Already Inter have beaten the likes of Barcelona and Bayern ahead of their clash with PSG at the Allianz Arena. The Serie A side are into their second final in three
seasons having been beaten by Manchester City two years ago, but Mourinho is backing them to go one better. He told Sky Sports: "I'm going to be very naughty, but very honest. I
was worried they could win the treble because I didn't want them to win the treble - the treble is mine! READ MORE: Rio Ferdinand to leave TNT Sports as Man Utd icon confirms reasons

them to win the Champions League. But of course Luis Enrique is doing an amazing job in Paris. He's transformed the team, they lost their No 1 (Kylian Mbappe), but they rebuild in a
fantastic way so if Luis wins, I'm also happy for him." Article continues below PSG are looking to win the tournament for the first time. Their only other final appearance came in
2020, when they were beaten by Bayern in Lisbon. The Parisians are narrow favourites to lift the trophy when the two teams meet in Germany on Saturday night. Inzaghi has enjoyed an
impressive period with Inter, winning the league and two Coppa Italias, and believes they are fully deserving of their final spot. He told UEFA: "We've had a great few years and
two Champions League finals is the fruit of our labours, reward for the hard work and sacrifice everyone has made. We all share the achievement – our players, the club as a whole and, of
course, our amazing fans." Article continues below The Inter boss believes they warranted extra-time when they were narrowly beaten by City two years ago, but they are better off for
the experience. "That experience was important – our performance in such a high-level game helped us learn a lot about what we're capable of," he said. Join our new WhatsApp
