Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes is seriously considering leaving the club tis summer, it has been claimed. The Portugal midfielder has been the subject of interest from Saudi club
Al Hilal, with a mega-money offer said to be on the table. Fernandes, who has been with United since 2020, has been targeted by Al Hilal after his current club failed to qualify for the
Champions League. The Saudi Pro League outfit are ready to offer a £100million transfer fee, as well as a huge £200m contract to the former Sporting CP star. The player's agent met with
the potential suitors earlier this week, with exit talks reported to have run late into the night. Al Hilal, who are due to take part in this summer's Club World Cup, are said to have
set a tight deadline on Fernandes' decision. According to various sources, United themselves are 'relaxed' about the situation. A £100m bid would represent a significant
profit on their star man, while freeing up funds to reinvest in the squad after a Europa League final defeat ensured Ruben Amorim's side won't take part in European competition
next term. Fernandes has been away with United's squad on a post-season tour, playing in a shock defeat to ASEAN All Stars in Malaysia on Wednesday. They have another match against Hong
Kong on Friday, and head coach Amorim spoke of his captain's importance before the first of the two friendlies. “He's really important for us and really important for what we want
to build with this team," Amorim said. “We talk about this many times. "You can see by his performances. You can see by his leadership. You can see the passion he has for the
game. In difficult moments Bruno is the guy who takes responsibility. He should do because he is the captain.” Speaking after the Europa League final defeat, Fernandes appeared to open the
door to an exit. "If the club thinks it's time to part ways because they want to do some cashing in or whatever, it's what it is," he said. "Football sometimes is
like this. I've always said I will be here until the club says to me that it's time to go. "I'm eager to do more, to be able to bring the club to the great days. The day
that the club thinks that I'm too much or it's time to part ways, football is like this, you never know it. But I've always said it and I keep my word in the same way."
