STRICTLY COME DANCING'S WYNNE EVANS WAS UNDER FIRE AFTER A VIDEO EMERGED OF HIM MAKING A VILE SEXUAL REMARK AT HIS CO-STAR WHILE AT THE LAUNCH OF THE TOUR IN BIRMINGHAM 17:02, 28 Jan
2025Updated 17:04, 28 Jan 2025 The Strictly Come Dancing stars have remained tight-lipped on the controversy surrounding Wynne Evans' remark and subsequent 'axing'. Wynne was
under fire after a video emerged of him making a vile sexual remark at his co-star while at the launch of the tour in Birmingham. He was recorded making an inappropriate sexual comment to
Janette Manrara, who acts as host on the tour, when she walked over to the group. He sang out: "Go Compare," before adding: "Not too close to Jamie [Borthwick]." He then
used the hugely demeaning term "spit roast" in reference to a lewd sexual act. Wynne later apologised for the comment, telling the Mirror : "My language was inappropriate and
unacceptable, for which I sincerely apologise." However, it has since been reported that he was axed from the remainder of the live tour, with a source claiming he is 'taking this
time off to do some self reflection'. Wynne's brother even spoke out in his defence but his Strictly co-stars have so far remained silent on the matter. READ MORE: Sky free trial:
Get TV, Stream box, and Netflix for £0 in eye-catching deal Although his dance partner, Katya Jones, wished him a happy birthday on Monday, she has yet to speak out on his reported departure
from the tour. Head judge Shirley Ballas previously complimented him at the Glasgow Hydro Show on Sunday night, with the star saying: "I tell you, Wynne has got the nicest cuddles.
"C'mon Wynne let's have a snuggle-bunny cuddle. I just love you so much. He is the nicest man I think I've ever met in my entire life." However, she has yet to
update her social media with any messages of support for the opera singer. The likes of Craig Revel Horwood, Jamie Borthwick, Shayne Ward and others have also kept to casual posting on their
social media. A show insider recently claimed there is an omerta - a code of silence - among the dancers as they 'know Strictly is bigger than them and want to protect Strictly. It is
their livelihoods.' Speaking to MailOnline, they said: "And it’s not exactly good news for them when this stuff comes out – so it’s better to keep it happy and clappy." The
source claimed there's a 'sense of loyalty' due to everything the programme has 'done for them'. Meanwhile, in a statement posted on X, Wynne's brother, Mark
Llewelyn Evans, asserted that his brother has a 'heart of gold' amid the scandal and he's standing by him during this "difficult time." He penned: "As a
brother, I want to express my unwavering support for him during this challenging time." Mark, a children's book author and baritone performer, added: "Wynne has a heart of
gold and the courage of a lion, paired with a talent that outshines most. His charisma and humour have brought joy to countless people. @BBCRadioWales @BBCTV." _Are you going to see
