appealing for information from the public to identify a man who died after being hit by a car in the Hunter Valley this morning.

Aberdeen, about 4.40am on Wednesday.
They found a man who had sustained multiple injuries and died at the scene.
The 18-year-old woman driving the sedan escaped physical injury but was taken to Muswellbrook District Hospital to be treated for shock, as well as undergoing mandatory testing.
The man has not yet been identified and police believe he may have been hitch-hiking along the New England Highway, possibly between Aberdeen and Muswellbrook, before he was hit.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the man before 4.30am today to contact Muswellbrook Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
