Three days after all hell broke loose when Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath claimed plastic explosive PETN was found on the floor of the UP Assembly, senior officials at the Agra
forensic lab which has the expertise to examine explosives has said the white powder had no trace of PETN, a high grade plastic explosive. _The Times of India_ reported that test reports
have been sent to Lucknow and NIA, officials said. Sources at the lab, “The substance found in the powder was magnesium sulphate which is used in cosmetics or medicines, such as for people
with arthritis. It is possible that an MLA suffering from such a problem brought it to the assembly,”the source was quoted as saying by the Times of India. Samples have also been sent by the
state government to Hyderabad for testing.
