The number of people dying from Covid-19 worldwide rose again yesterday, 4 May, following a dip in reporting over the weekend. 4,067 people died, with Italy and France seeing their numbers
rise compared to Sunday, 3 May. However, the number of deaths dropped between Sunday and Monday in both the US and UK, and the number of new deaths worldwide remains lower than the same time
last week. At least 251,537 people have now died across the world from the virus. The number of confirmed cases rose by 76,326.
