Hugh Jackman’s friend is filling fans in on the actor’s behalf. Australian radio personality Gus Worland spoke out after Jackman’s estranged wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, broke her silence

about a “betrayal” in their marriage. “It’s not just that statement, but the last couple of years have been difficult,” the “Wolverine” star’s childhood pal said on “Ben Fordham Live”

insisted that was the “sole statement either of [them would] make.” While Furness did not initially address Jackman’s new romance last year, her friend Amanda de Cadenet called an Instagram

upload “on point” that alleged the “Greatest Showman” star had an affair. Furness hinted at this in her viral statement to the Daily Mail Tuesday. “My heart and compassion goes out to

everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal,” she wrote, in part, of her “profound wound that cuts deep.” Furness continued, “Even when we are presented with apparent

adversity, it is leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose.” She filed for divorce on May 23.
