Wednesday afternoon, resulting in downed trees and power lines, according to police. Police said several homes have been damaged due to the weather. “We anticipate extended power outages as
the United Illuminating Company is working to safely restore service,” police said in a press release. “The North Haven Police Department will continue with high visibility patrols in the
affected area. Although it is tempting to explore the affected neighborhoods, we ask that residents remain home for their safety, and the safety of emergency crews.” North Haven was also hit
by a microburst in June 2015. This story will be updated when more information is available. _Photo via North Haven Fire Department_
