On Tuesday, July 16, the 34-year-old actress took to Instagram Stories to share a mirror selfie showing off a brunette hair transformation. The OMG Fashun host is known for changing up her

look but had previously been sporting platinum blonde hair.

In the photo, Fox's dark brown style features lots of face-framing layers and soft, tousled waves. She seems to be wearing little to no makeup and is dressed in an oversized gray sweatshirt.

The actress also has bandages on both of her hands. She did not include a caption on the post but tagged her location as Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The make-under is reminiscent of Fox's natural brown locks that she wore in the 2019 crime drama Uncut Gems but it appears that it's actually a wig. Hairstylist and wig builder Dylan Silver

shared some BTS of the look on Instagram.

"Custom fully hand-tied wig for @juliafox built by me for a special upcoming project," Silver captioned a Wednesday, July 17 post. The artist also included photos of Fox with a wig cap on

and some shots of the wig on a mannequin.

Fox confirmed that the new look was for a new project after InStyle shared an Instagram Reel showing the mirror selfie. The post also featured a viral audio clip of the star saying that she

"hates working."
