PUBLISHED ON April 8th, 2015 [embedded content] _Chris Love provides this update on the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association 2014-2015 season along with his weekly Chalk Talk video report:_
THIS WEEK IN COLLEGE SAILING marked the end of the team racing regular season. Over Easter weekend, MIT hosted the Marchiando on the Charles River in Firefly dinghies with reefed mainsails
to cope with the extreme wind that brought gusts up to 40! Yale defeated the lineup of mostly New England teams to preserve the school’s undefeated record this team racing season. In the
Mid-Atlantic, Kings Point staged an equally windy MAISA Team Race Challenge on Sunday only, due to impossible conditions on Saturday. Hobart William Smith took the win with George Washington
U. in second, both qualifying for the conference championship. Women’s fleet racing is in full swing and the Dellenbaugh Interconference at Brown saw many of the country’s top female
sailors battling in similarly blustery conditions. Brown just slipped past URI in the last race for the win. In West Coast news, St. Francis Yacht Club ran races on San Francisco Bay for 27
teams, mostly from the Pacific Coast Conference and the Northwest, with University of Hawaii dominating both A and B divisions. This coming weekend is the first of the spring conference
championships, with NEISA, MAISA and SAISA holding their Team Race Champs to qualify ten schools to Nationals. Click here for scores. CHALK TALK SEASON 12, EPISODE 2: TEAM RACE CONFERENCE
CHAMPS PREDICTIONS Old guys guess how this weekend’s Team Racing Conference Championships will go down on the east coast, filling out most of the lineup at Nationals. We also look back at a
windy weekend and play Chris’ interview with Yale’s Graham Landy from spring break. WATCH VIDEO TAGS: Chalk Talk, Chris Love, College Sailing
