Kirsty Blackman MP is looking for two interns to join her Aberdeen North team over the summer. SALARY: In line with IPSA pay scales HOURS: One Full-Time (37 hours per week) and One Part-Time

(22.5 Hours – Wednesday-Friday). LOCATION: Based in the constituency office in Aberdeen North (this is an office-based role and home working will not be considered). LENGTH OF CONTRACT: 7th

July-18th August (_with potential to extend_) This role offers experience supporting an MP with their constituency work including dealing with casework and handling enquiries from members

of the public. The Aberdeen North office is a fast-paced, supportive environment to work in. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Learning and assisting how to manage casework and draft responses

to constituents. * Learning and assisting how to monitor media coverage. * Attending surgeries and other meetings as part of training. * Basic administrative support. * Learning and

assisting in appropriate research. * Open, handle and action emails, post and social media enquiries. * There may be requirement for the role holder to work outside of normal hours

occasionally. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS * A passion for helping people and solving their problems. * A strong, proactive work ethic. * Relevant IT skills – including Microsoft

Office, social media platforms & digital communications. * Excellent communications skills, with accurate attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with colleagues. If you
