Several media outlets have relayed this fake news, but the CAF clarifies: no exceptional aid amounting to 586€ will be paid in April. The organization also warns about phishing attempts by
SMS. It is a news which can make dream in these times of inflation, and it is perhaps for that that it was so much relayed. However, the CAF specifies it, NO EXCEPTIONAL HELP WILL BE PAID IN
APRIL, contrary to what we can read in several media. CNEWS, _Midi Libre_, _Var Matin_ or even _Le Bonbon_, they are many to promote an exceptional aid of586€ paid in April to 4.6 million
people to cope with inflation . The family allowance fund had to clarify the situation in an article on its website. "NO NEW AID OR BONUS FROM THE CAF HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED in recent
weeks, legitimizing these articles that are based on false or very partial situations," it reads. In reality, these 586€ mentioned everywhere are the maximum amount of the ACTIVITY
BONUS, an aid that is not exceptional since it is paid every month since 2016. The 4.6 million people concerned are precisely the beneficiaries of this aid, but not all of them receive the
promised amount. The average amount of the activity bonus is about 170€. To obtain this aid, you must be over 18 years old, have a stable job in France for at least three months and have a
small salary. The CAF has also warned about PHISHING ATTEMPTS, by email and SMS. As a reminder, if you have any doubts, never give your password to anyone, and go to the CAF website to know
the exact amount of your rights.
