The West Australian Contractor Macmahon says it has $74 million Main Roads WA contract for the design and construction of the Great Eastern Highway Roe interchange. The project aims to
improve traffic flow, reduce congestion and create grade separation for heavy vehicles and general traffic through the intersection of the Great Eastern Highway and Roe Highway in Midland,
one of the State's top 10 blackspots. The interchange has predicted traffic counts of 90,000 vehicles a day by 2021. Macmahon said the work would take about 18 months and include the
design and construction of four new bridges, three underpasses and associated pathways, modifications to two existing bridges, associated works and the relocation of services. Macmahon
shares were down 0.5 cents to 68 cents at 11.15am. GET THE LATEST NEWS FROM THEWEST.COM.AU IN YOUR INBOX. Sign up for our emails
