You guys remember earlier this year, Anand Mahindra, the bossman at Mahindra & Mahindra, was quite taken by Team India's performance in the India-Australia test tour in Gabba? So much so, he

promised to gift the star debutants in the series, namely, Navdeep Saini, Mohammed Siraj, T Natrajan, Shubman Gill, Washington Sundar, and Shardul Thakur, one Mahindra Thar SUV each. And

the swell man that is Monsieur Mahindra, he kept his promise and two of the aforementioned six recently took deliveries of their Thar SUVs too. The Indian cricket team made history at Gabba

earlier this year when they beat Australia in the fourth test match, thus ending their 31 test-win streak.

What rendered this victory even sweeter is the fact that the Indian cricket team's chances of winning the series had been written off even before the match. Suffice it to we persevered and

won everyone's hearts, including that of Anand Mahindra. Post the win, he tweeted he will gift a Mahindra Thar to six Indian team players for their contribution in the test match against

Australia at Gabba and to encourage these youngsters to believe in themselves and 'take the road less travelled'.

Playing cricket for India is the biggest privilege of my life. My #Rise has been on an unusual path. Along the way, the love and affection, I have received has overwhelmed me. The support

and encouragement from wonderful people, helps me find ways to #ExploreTheImpossible ..1/2 pic.twitter.com/FvuPKljjtu — Natarajan (@Natarajan_91) April 1, 2021

Both T Natarajan and Shardul Thakur took to social media to share pictures of their spanking new Mahindra Thar SUVs. Natarajan received one in red, while Thakur took a grey Thar home.

New Mahindra Thar has arrived!! @MahindraRise has built an absolute beast & I’m so happy to drive this SUV. A gesture that youth of our nation will look upto. Thank you once again Shri

@anandmahindra ji, @pakwakankar ji for recognising our contribution on the tour of Australia. pic.twitter.com/eb69iLrjYb — Shardul Thakur (@imShard) April 1, 2021
