Two new, connected restaurants are inviting folks to celebrate the July 4th holiday at a block party they are hosting at their location in Pacific Beach. Prince St. Pizza and Irv’s Burgers
are opening their joint location at 4505 Mission Boulevard and to celebrate they are having a grand opening from noon to 4 p.m. Guests can enjoy a free Irv’s burger, fries and milkshake
combo and free Prince St. Pizza slices, Peronis, wine and Salt & Straw ice cream. The block party will include music from a local DJ, photo booths and entertainment for the family.
Prince St. Pizza already operates a restaurant in the Gaslamp but wanted to open a new site to celebrate the Southern California lifestyle. The restaurants have indoor and outdoor seating
and are located in a busy area of Pacific Beach. “You can’t get anything better than one block from the beach,” said spokeswoman Laurel Tiedeman. Prince St. Pizza started in New York City in
2012 and has since expanded to offering its Neapolitan pizzas and SoHo Squares in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, San Diego, Las Vegas and Toronto. Irv’s Burgers originally opened in 1946 in
Santa Monica. It was one of the first burger stands on the famous Route 66 and became known for selling classic California roadside-style cheeseburgers. Irv’s closed in 2018 but was brought
back in 2022 by its owner, Lawrence Longo, who reopened the original Irv’s Burgers location on Santa Monica Blvd. Since then, Irv’s Burgers has grown to six locations throughout Southern
California and Las Vegas.
