veterans. She began her career at the VA Boston Healthcare System in 1988 and has held progressive leadership positions within VA Nursing Service including Nurse Manager, Chief of Employee


Education, and Associate Nurse Executive. During her career, Dr. Giasson has experience working in long term care, sub-acute medicine, and acute Mental Health. Dr. Giasson holds a Doctor of


Nursing Practice from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions, a Dual Master of Science in Nursing and Health Administration from the University of Phoenix, and a


Bachelor of Science from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. She is board  certified as a Nurse Executive by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Ms. Giasson has served as


Nursing Adjunct faculty for the Simmons School of Nursing and the MGH Institute of Health Professions. She is a VHA certified mentor and a graduate of the VA Health Care Leadership


Development Program. Ms. Giasson currently serves as the President-Elect for the Nurses Organization of Veterans Affairs. Other professional affiliations include Member of the American


Organization for Nursing Leadership; Member of the American Nurse Association; and a Member of Sigma Theta Tau International (Sigma) Honor Society of Nursing.
