Dr. Myra Lee Couch has a 28-year career in nursing. For the past 14 years she has worked at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Since January 18, 2021 to present,
she has been detailed to Louis A Johnson VAMC in Clarksburg West Virgiania where she has served in a multitude of capacities assisting a 3 Acting ADPCS leaderer to reestablish excellence in
nursing across the system. Dr. Couch frequently represents nursing and her service line on facility workgroups and tasksforces. Examples of her current involvement includes Oncology Western
Market Workgroup, Sterile Processing/Reusable Medical Equipment Committee, Joint Comission Readiness Team, and Alaris Pump Work Group. She has also been involved with several Covid response
teams in 2020 and has lead her team to redefine nursing roles as care has transitioned toward virtual care.Dr. Couch holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Carlow University, a Masters
of Science in Nursing / Clinical Nurse Leadership from Sprin Hill College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing fron Waynesburg University.
