Rebecca Beckman is our Associate Director of Patient Care Services. Ms. Beckman is a former Navy Nurse Corps Officer with more than 27 years as a Registered Nurse in various inpatient and

outpatient settings.  She was introduced to VHA as a graduate student through her involvement with the VA/DOD Integration Team in 2010, during the implementation of the first-ever fully

integrated VA/DOD health care center, the Captain James A Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago.  She currently serves at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center, most recently on the

Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM ) Change Leadership Team.  Prior to that detail, Ms. Beckman served as the Chief Nurse and Director of Quality for the Mental Health Care Line. 

Ms. Beckman is a native of Cincinnati and obtained her undergrad at the University of Cincinnati and master’s degree in Nursing Leadership and Management from North Park University in

Chicago.  Ms. Beckman is passionate about evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and driving a high reliability organization.  She is a proponent for shared governance and

Relationship-Based Care and her leadership style fosters a culture that empowers frontline staff to ask questions and drive improvements.   She is married to her husband Sean, also a retired

Navy Nurse Corps Officer.  They reside in Lebanon, OH with their three children
