Carmen Adeboye is a dedicated healthcare professional and a native Mississippian. Carmen Adeboye is a dedicated healthcare professional and a native Mississippian. She is the proud daughter
of a Bronze Star Korean Conflict Veteran. With over 29 years of experience in the nursing field, her career trajectory has seen her progress from an LPN to an associate degree nurse, and
subsequently a bachelor’s degree nurse. In 2017, she achieved dual master’s degrees in Nursing and Healthcare Administration and obtained national certification as a Nurse Executive. Ms.
Adeboye began her federal service career at the G.V. Sonny “Montgomery” VA Medical Center in 2013, starting as a staff RN in the Inpatient Mental Health unit. She served as a Nurse Manager
for five years, with two years in the Inpatient Mental Health unit and three years in the Primary Care department, before taking on the role of Chief Nurse of Mental Health in 2019. She is
an esteemed graduate of the VISN 16 Leadership Development (LDI) Class of 2017 and the VA Healthcare Leadership Development Program (HCDLP) as of September 2024. Her dedication to high
reliability has led her to become a Clinical Team Training Master Trainer in 2022 and a Change Management Practitioner in 2023. As Ms. Adeboye’s role has expanded, she has taken on
substantial and continuous responsibility for directing and managing integrated interdisciplinary programs in Inpatient Mental Health and Mental Health Services, including the Mental Health
Residential Rehab Program (MHRRTP), the Alcohol and Drug Treatment Program (ADTP), Trauma Recovery Program (TRP), and Primary Care Mental Health Integration services. Her responsibilities
have also encompassed Nursing Education, Performance Improvement, Infection Prevention, Patient Flow Services, and Electronic Health Records (Clinical Applications). She has additional
experience in CLC, Acute Care, Surgical Care, Employee Health, Post 9/11 (Special Populations) Programs, Informatics/Clinical Applications, Quality Management, and Patient Safety. Ms.
Adeboye is affiliated with the American Nurses Association, the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, and the American College of Health Care Executives. Throughout her career, she has
established, maintained, and provided oversight for the delivery of nursing care and the management of nursing personnel and clinical resources. With her extensive experience and dedication
to continuous improvement, Carmen Adeboye exemplifies leadership in providing high-quality care to Veterans. She is committed to continually developing her skills to become a transformative
driving force in her facility and throughout the VHA system. Carmen aspires to be a change maker, motivating others to join the mission and lead in advancing the quality of care provided to
Veterans.
