The Mission Act The MISSION Act strengthens VA’s ability to deliver trusted, easy to access, high quality care at VA facilities, virtually through telehealth, and in your community. The
Maintaining Internal Systems and Strengthening Integrated Outside Networks (MISSION) Act of 2018 consolidates VA's community care programs into a new Veterans Community Care Program
that will help ensure Veterans choose VA by getting them the right care at the right time from the right provider. Over the next year, VA will need to develop regulations to implement the
new law, while also developing policies, training staff, and awarding contracts to furnish care. Veterans and their families, community providers, and VA staff can expect ongoing
improvements and regular engagement as VA creates this new Community Care Program. Up-to-date information on the MISSION Act can be found here, including how this legislation will impact
Veterans and their families, community providers, and VA staff.
