365 days a year and prepared over 400,000 meals for Inpatient, Domiciliary, and Community Living Center Veterans last fiscal year. “It is an honor to be able to continue to serve my fellow

brothers and sisters. I was proud to work food service in the Navy, but sharing experiences and caring for Veterans here is a whole new privilege,” said Aaron Brown, Food Service Worker.  

Ensuring Veterans at the Medical Center have high-quality meals that are evidence-based, nutrient dense and taste delicious is a part of VA’s whole health focus. As much as possible,

seasonal produce from community farmers is utilized. The team also strives to incorporate Veteran preferences and feedback into recipes and meals. “I think it’s great that we can use
