VA Providence Health Care had a special visit from the Boston Red Sox on November 10th, as part of the Veterans Day observance. Former player Sam Horn and the 2004 and 2013 World Series
trophies made their way to the hospital to meet and greet the in-patient Veterans and their families. Sam Horn, who played for the Red Sox from 1987 to 1991, is an American former
professional baseball player who spent parts of eight seasons in Major League Baseball. Horn went around the hospital with the trophies, chatting with the Veterans, signing autographs, and
taking photos. The Veterans got an opportunity to see the trophies up close and share their stories and memories of the Red Sox. The visit was a gesture of appreciation and gratitude for the
Veterans who have served and sacrificed for the nation. VA Providence is proud to partner with the Boston Red Sox and other organizations to provide the best care and support for our
heroes. We thank them for their generosity and kindness.
