Saginaw , MI — On this GivingTuesday, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) encourages community members, businesses, and organizations to help support Veterans throughout the country
by doing what they can. Created in 2012, GivingTuesday is a global movement which inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate and celebrate generosity throughout the
holidays. GivingTuesday also enables participants to turn good intentions into action. On Tuesday, November 29, 2022, from 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., our facility is hosting a GivingTuesday winter
weather wear drive at 1500 Weiss St., Saginaw, MI located in the main lobby of the front entrance. We are asking community partners to donate and help our Veterans who may be in need. The
Center for Development and Community Engagement (CDCE, formerly known as “Voluntary Service”) is requesting new items such as socks, boots, gloves, hats, and any winter essentials for
Veterans need! “These are basic items some may not be able to afford,” stated Adam Hayward-Lupo, Assistant Chief, CDCE. “We encourage our community partners to give what they can to support
the men and women who fought and continue to fight for our freedom. The Aleda E. Lutz VAMC in Saginaw, Michigan operates an 81-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation Community Living Center.
