You protected and defended your country. Now it’s time to protect and defend yourself and your loved ones against flu. Did you know anyone can get flu? Studies show that getting a flu shot

can reduce illness and death from flu. Get a flu shot and practice healthy habits like getting enough sleep and exercise, eating a balanced diet, and drinking plenty of fluids to stay

healthy. Veterans enrolled in VA health care can get a free flu shot by visiting their nearest VA health care facility. VA and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommend

that everyone age six months and older get a flu shot each year. The flu shot is safe and effective, and you cannot get flu from the flu shot. Because the vaccine gets updated annually,

Veterans should make sure they get the shot each year in the fall, as soon as flu shots are available. A flu shot will protect you the entire flu season. Even though flu season starts in the

fall, it’s never too late to get a flu shot, as flu season can continue into spring. So make today the day you protect yourself, and those around you, against flu. SITE DAYS HOURS START
