Mrs. Manuela Perales MSN, RN is the Associate Director for Patient Care Services-Nurse Executive at VA Texas Valley Coastal Bend Health Care System. She is a dedicated Registered Nurse with
25 years of Nursing Experience. She began her varied nursing career in 1997 as an RN-graduate from University of Texas-Brownsville/Texas Southmost College following with her BSN in 2008. In
2020, she graduated from University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences with a Nursing Informatics Specialist focused MSN. Mrs. Perales began her VA career at Texas Valley Coastal Bend HCS
in 2012 as a PACT RN Care Manager and transitioned into a Quality Clinician role in the Quality, Safety and Value (QSV) Department in 2014. She also served as Chief of QSV from 2020 to 2022.
Her professional career includes experience in Intensive Care, Cardiac Cath Lab, Telemetry, Interventional Radiology, Primary Care-Care Management, and QSV. Her roles have allowed her to be
a Servant Leader and promote quality care. She is an advocate of HRO Principles always putting the Veteran first.
