The Jonathan M. Wainwright Memorial VA Medical Center is seeking public comment on a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) update for the following projects: Construction of Building 145 Specialty
Care Clinic, potable water upgrade, lighting and electrical upgrades. All of these projects have been completed, however, the MOA had to be renewed in order to fulfill all of the mitigation
measures required to manage historic preservation on the VA campus. These mitigation measures include long-term care and management of cultural resources on the VA campus, to include the
buildings, structures and objects considered historic properties as well as the larger Fort Walla Walla historic district. If any interested parties would like to comment on this effort,
please reach out to this VA's archaeologist and project integrator, Katherine Ferguson at [email protected]. The comment period will be open until Friday, May 10, 2024.
