Ms. Waid joined the West Texas VA Health Care System as the Assistant Medical Center Director in July 2023. Ms. Waid is responsible for the overall management of the Safety &
Occupational Health Program, Prosthetics, CBOC Administration, and Education. She is a graduate of VISN 18 Leadership Development Institute. Ms. Waid began her VA career in July 2008 as the
Secretary for the Associate Director, Patient Care Services at West Texas. She has remained with West Texas since that time serving as the Administrative Officer to the ADPCS, Administrative
Officer to the Associate Director, and the Executive Assistant to the Director. Ms. Waid has been responsible for many areas of the organization, including space, interior design, strategic
planning, project management, and for the past four years she has provided oversight for community care.
