The 26 year old actor, known for his role as Craig Tinker, spoke on ITV's This Morning on Thursday (May 22) about his exit from the long-running soap following his character's death.


‌ While chatting with Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, Colson disclosed that he had an inkling about his departure even before the producers broke the news to him.


‌ Despite the shock and sadness of his character's exit, Colson shared his aspirations to continue working in television.

time in telly and do more time as Colson, so yeah we'll see what happens and I'll be happy with whatever!", reports Belfast Live.


Article continues below When Cat brought up his podcast, which he co-hosts with fellow Corrie actors Jack P. Shepherd and Ben Price, she enquired if he would keep it going.


Colson responded with enthusiasm: "More podcasting! Yeah got a couple of live shows coming up there. More presenting and more audio stuff, that's the stuff I love, so yeah watch this space,"


he concluded.

Mick, portrayed by Joe Layton, assaulted Craig with a baseball bat and abandoned him at the roadside. Maria later discovered Craig, promptly calling for an ambulance and staying by his side


until help arrived.


Despite the best efforts of medical staff, Craig's brain swelling was tragically severe and he passed away at the end of the episode.

character was getting tired, but he was such a goodie."


Another viewer expressed their displeasure at the plot development: "I don't like it when they kill off big/long standing characters on Corrie even if I don't like them so when I saw I am


furious that the irrelevant chav has killed off Our Craigy."
